Comfortable Noise
"You fear the lack of rules, the lack of boundaries. Oh its a fence, no its soft, ahh... What's happening? The shapes, the chaos! Huh? It has to be simple nursery rhymes for you, doesn't it? Dee di dee di dee dee. When the melody gets abstract, you mess your trousers and run to your mummy." ~Howard Moon

The point of this blog is to present to you music that does not suck. I'll kick off with Soundgarden's 4th of July. This was the first song that exploded my understanding of what good music was. I'd never before encountered a rif as deeply soul wrenching as the opening sequence of this song, and after I'd heard it I could never settle for anything less meaningful again.
